Poetic Letters #012

andreasoverini.substack.com

Hey,

thank you for being here.

Really. There’s a lot of stuff out there, choosing something, and choosing to read rather than mindlessly-consuming-infinite-feeds-of-random-videos-from-strangers is quite special. And if English is not your first language that’s even more special!

You might not even know why you’re here. Or why you are where you are while you read what you read. Or why you are doing what you’ve been doing.

Either way, I’m now alone with my van and I’m using this time to answer the same questions.

One question specifically I like to answer when thinking about the WHYs of my life:

What stories do I want to tell when I’m old?

I’ll share a bit of my answer below.

Maybe you can send me yours later, or at least answer the question for yourself.

Enjoy the reading

~ Freed ~

When I think of you
I think of a thousand words
Words spoken and heard
That you bring together
In a whole new world

A world of courage and love
Where only the bravest will thrive
But bravest is every man
Every man in your eyes

The strongest the weakest
They will all realise
If your words will touch them
They’ll be free to be alive

~ Carving ~

Like water
Carved the Grand Canyon
So your tears
Will carve your smile

~ Addict ~

Like smoke after I quit
Like a cocktail when I’m dry
Like a drug once I'm clean
I was never an addict
I am one with your lines

Put on a candle when you listen to this one. Maybe write yourself a love letter.
